Gore, the non-debater
And then there’s Great Britain’s Lord Monckton of Brenchley, a former advisor to British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. He asked for a head-to-head, internationally-televised debate upon the question “That our effect on climate is not dangerous,” and offered the Library of the Oxford University Museum of Natural History as the debate site, at a date of Mr. Gore’s choosing. He also is still waiting.
