Breaking: John Kerry suggests that because of CO2, plants no longer grow in a 100-mile swath of the US?!

CNSNews.com - Sen. Kerry Predicts ‘Ice-Free Arctic' In '5 or 10 Years’
(CNSNews.com) – Speaking at a town hall-style meeting promoting climate change legislation on Thursday, Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) predicted there will be “an ice-free Arctic” in "five or 10 years."

“The arctic ice is disappearing faster than was predicted,” Kerry said. “And instead of waiting until 2030 or whenever it was to have an ice-free Arctic, we’re going to have one in five or 10 years.”
...
Every single area of the science, where predictions have been made, is coming back faster – worse than was predicted,” Kerry said. “The levels of carbon dioxide that are going into the ocean is higher. The acidity is higher. It’s damaging the ecosystem of the oceans.”

“You know, all of our marine crustaceans that depend on the formation of their shells -- that acidity undoes that,” he said. “Coral reefs – the spawning grounds for fish. Run that one down and you’ll see the dangers.

Kerry further said: “Predictions of sea level rise are now 3 to 6 feet. They’re higher than were originally going to be predicted over the course of this century because nothing’s happening. But the causes and effects are cumulative.”

“The Audubon Society – not exactly, you know, an ideological entity on the right or the left or wherever in America – has reported that its members are reporting a hundred-mile swath in the United States of America where plants, shrubs, trees, flowers – things that used to grow -- don’t grow any more,” Kerry said.

What idiot would fall for that nonsense....plants need CO2 to live, so how could they die because of an increase in CO2....wake up sheeple....

Well there is nothing growing under the foundations of all those windmill and solar collectors

I definitely agree with Anon. You can tell the "quality" of Kerry's education as he obviously does not understand photosynthesis. The wonders of our government schools!
(And the quality of kerry's mind)

You gotta love this kind of monumental stupidity, it only serves to discredit these nutters!

Kudzu is a prime example of a plant that continues to overrun 100m swaths...specifically the east coast.

Ha . . . Heheh . . . hahahahahahah . . . AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!! Earth to Massachusetts: That's the entire freaking country LAUGHING THEIR *sses off at the fools you cast your votes for . . . Now that one of the idiots is no more, how about getting rid of this one in a more timely manner, like an ELECTION! The next one! The country's bankrupt now, and our sides hurt from the laughter and all, but seriously, we could use an actual functional brain in Washington OK? Repeat after me: "I will not vote for morons anymore!" Thanks so much! - TheRestOfTheUSA

America is probably the best country in the world but stories such as this make me glad that I don't live there. If YOU happen to live there then you really are in big, BIG trouble because your political leadership(?) has now morphed from being a joke to being criminally insane. I'll be watching closely come November 2nd. November 3rd should be an interesting day.

Crazy stuff. Plants need CO2 to live and they give off oxygen so animals can live. I used to have respect for Kerry but no more.

“The Audubon Society – not exactly, you know, an ideological entity..."

Since when?!?

Taken from www.audubon.org - "Audubon strives to make unsustainable exploitation of the natural world socially, politically, and morally unacceptable." Oh no, they aren't ideological at all. I think the word we are looking for is; whatever!

I nearly fell off my chair laughing at the comment by Louis which said that "nothing is growing under the foundations of all those windmills and solar collectors." Oh, how true! The solar plants alone cover acres and acres. It is hard to believe that Sen. Kerry would spout such utter nonsense.
