Nobel Prize Winning Climatologist to Speak at Ammerman « The College Reporter

“I agree with his work but what is far more important is that his paleoclimate research known as the “hockey stick” temperature reconstruction has been duplicated by many international scientists using different types of climate data and various data analysis techniques,” explained Scott Mandia, professor of Physical Sciences. “The fact that the planet is warmer now than at any time in the previous 2,000 years is very well-accepted in the climate science community. The science is solid.”

...“Science has informed important decisions that have moved this great country forward so I am saddened to see one major political party [Republican] and some energy industry interests openly attacking science,” Mandia explained. “These attacks are un-American and are threatening the future of this country”

NYT: An Underground Fossil Forest Offers Clues on Climate Change | JunkScience.com

Naturally they claim this ancient forest was wiped out by global warming, somehow forgetting to mention that for hundreds of millions of years prior to the Carboniferous age atmospheric carbon dioxide had been somewhere north of 3,000ppm, possibly far north. The later Permian warming occurred when CO2 was at about its lowest point in at least 300 million years – the only other time it is thought to have been as dangerously low as today’s meager levels.

Alarmism or Not? Joe Romm and the ‘Crying Wolf’ Dilemma — MasterResource

“This notion that the environmental movement — or any other major play in the media landscape — is pushing non-stop apocalyptic messages like a broken record is one I debunked ….”

- Joe Romm, April 29, 2012

“CONCLUSION: Unrestricted emissions of greenhouse gases threaten multiple catastrophes, any one of which justifies action. Together, they represent the gravest threat to humanity imaginable.”

Germany Succeeds Making Energy Unaffordable For 15% Of Its Population – 600,000 Households Disconnected Annually!

Every year 600,000 households (2 million people) are getting their power switched off in Germany because they can’t afford the skyrocketing electric bills. At that rate the country (population 80 million) will become blacked-out like North Korea by 2050.
