stronger hurricanes are among the most serious consequences of climate change induced by the burning of fossil fuels that the Romney campaign is pushing
[Revkin getting well-justified criticism after pushing a Skeptical Science cherry-pick] - NYTimes.com
[wmar comment] It is not that global warming has stopped, it is that global warming and cooling have always been the case, and have not worsened in recent decades, as warming must do to validate the AGW-conjecture.

The key is not to cherry-pick.

Warmist-hysteria demands that we start history at the coldest point during the late middle 20th century, and then become aghast and terrified at the warming which followed. If the same information included past warm-periods (same 20th century) the terror fades to nothingness. The same hysteria demands that we accept data which has recently been adjusted to alter the past, making it cooler and the more recent period too, making it warmer, (Hansen's specialty). The same hysteria demands we ignore a much warmer global past (at least three times in the last 3200+/- years), it demands we ignore the IPCC's HH Lamb global graph which they replaced with Mann's confabulated hockey stick, and so much more.

Under President Obama, officials in Washington have played a bigger role in drilling and mining decisions on federal lands in the states, and such involvement rankles many residents and energy executives, who prefer the usually lighter touch of local officials.
Not satisfied with destroying crops, the drought is now ruining quaint local traditions | Grist

I posted a reply to that article yesterday and it never made it past the censors. Basically, I posted the link to the NOAA graph of temperature adjustments along with a comment about it.
