More climate fraud from Ed Markey: "carbon pollution is mixing a deadly cocktail of heat and extreme weather that is costing lives and billions of dollars in damages"

Dems tally violent weather in push for climate action - The Hill's E2-Wire
“While the Republican-led House of Representatives refuses to take climate action, carbon pollution is mixing a deadly cocktail of heat and extreme weather that is costing lives and billions of dollars in damages,” Markey, the top Democrat on the House Natural Resources Committee, said in a statement.
...
“Climate change has contributed to shattered records and unprecedented weather catastrophes, like those the United States has experienced this summer. It’s as if global warming has stacked the deck with extra jokers, making some weather events more frequent and severe and increasing the chances of an event far outside the norm,” the report states.

The links between climate change and extreme weather are abundant, robust and well-documented in peer-reviewed scientific studies

Note how Mr. Markey depends on inflammatory language and hyperbole to distract form his false claim linking 'extreme weather' with CO2.

No consensus on extreme weather: they can't even agree on the correct metaphor. So, is it Hansen's trick fuzzy dice or Markey's stacked deck of cards? It's as if they were falling from a tall building, clawing uselessly at the air.

Markey's chart is not scaled, but the temperature anomaly shift looks about 1.5SD, or about 10° Celsius.
He's a true extremist then.
