Warmist James Balog suggests that if you don't believe that CO2 causes bad weather, you are a "far out fanatic" financed by "wealthy crackpots"

James Balog: "We need to understand nature is off its rocker right now" - 10 Jun 2013 - Interview from BusinessGreen
I was watching a film last night about how this misinformation campaign on the climate deniers' side works, and what really struck me with great force is that the kind of people who are fuelling this debate are often the kinds of far out fanatics that would not have had a voice to do anything other than distribute pamphlets on a street corner 30 or 40 years ago.

They would have been considered crackpot nutcases. But because the money from wealthy crackpots gives them a voice in the media today, they're looked at as serious participants in the conversation. They ought to be living out of coverts talking to themselves.

40 years ago, the strong "scientific consensus" was that the earth was heading for a new ice age.

Who were the crackpot nutcases back then?

Perhaps the "crackpot nutcases"(those scientists that did not blindly follow the consensus, and the money) were the real heros during both the prior and the current climate debate.

When did questioning scientific dogma become so intolerable?

Mr. Balog, your language demeans you.

That sounds like a pretty good description of Hansen, Mann and much of the CAGW crowd to me.
