There has been a disturbing amount of press lately (including a full page ad in Monday's Washington Post) by 'climate change skeptics' like the Heartland Institute- those who don't believe the earth is warming, don't think human activity is the cause, or don't think we should worry about it. Scientific evidence to the contrary, these 'skeptics' continue to argue that taking action against climate change is unnecessary and will cripple our economy, send American jobs overseas, and generally destroy our way of life. None of this is true.

This may be a cool month for the Tri-Cities, says the National Weather Service in Pendleton.

It's predicting below normal temperatures and near normal precipitation for the month. Normal highs for the Tri-Cities during April are 67 degrees and normal lows are 41.2 degrees. Normal precipitation is 0.51 inches.

March also was cooler than normal in the Tri-Cities.

Believes Global Climate Change Is 'Patently False'

The Port Washington News would do well to share the results of real science rather than junk science concocted by alarmists like Al Gore and repeated by the mainstream media in the U.S. I look forward to a more educated discussion on this topic in future editions of our community newspaper.
