SAN FRANCISCO - The news media's credibility is sagging along with its revenue.Inside the 9/12 protest | Washington Examiner
Nearly two-thirds of Americans think the news stories they read, hear and watch are frequently inaccurate, according to a poll released Sunday by the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press. That marks the highest level of skepticism recorded since 1985, when this study of public perceptions of the media was first done.
...in dozens of interviews with marchers, the picture that emerged was of people who believe things are racing out of control along a whole range of fronts in Washington, and that no one is representing their interests. Obama and the Democrats in Congress, they believe, are simply pushing too hard on too many things. It's unlikely that there would have been a rally this size just about the stimulus, or just about cap-and-trade, or just about the takeovers of the auto companies, or even health care. But put them all together, and there is an enormous and growing fear that Obama and his allies are rushing to wreck the system. The Migrant Mind: Do Rural Stations Today Really Measure the Rural Temperature?

...Yet with all of this climate action going on, NBC's Meet the Press, a program I loyally watch to fulfill my week's quota of healthy outrage, again this Sunday did not take up the subject of climate change.US EPA: Odd admission on its "Climate Change Kids" site
Earth has warmed by about 1ºF over the past 100 years. But why? And how? Well, scientists are not exactly sure. The Earth could be getting warmer on its own, but many of the world's leading climate scientists think that things people do are helping to make the Earth warmer.
