Schools’ eco-propaganda doesn’t teach kids to think : Opinion : The Buffalo News
It’s back to school—the time of year when the cool autumn air rolls in, crisp apples fall from the trees and my 5-year-old daughter comes home from school asking, “Mommy, what corporation started the sun on fire and made global warming?”

Turns out there are all sorts of scary green monsters, from cow eaters to forest destroyers to villainous corporations discussed in schools and children’s books. When asked what global warming means, many kids have absolutely no idea, but they know it’s caused by humans and they can quickly recite the mantra “stop global warming.”

CNSNews.com - Warmer Weather [but not wolves?] Said to Threaten Moose in Minnesota
Panel chairman Rolf Peterson, a moose researcher from Michigan Technical University, said colder weather during the past two years has been good for northern Minnesota moose but the population hasn't measurably improved [why?].

Mortality rates in radio-collared moose are too high to sustain the population, Peterson said. Research by Minnesota's Department of Natural Resources put the average non-hunting mortality among collared moose at 21 percent since 2002.

"Those moose are not doing well, and they're dying of health-related reasons," Peterson said. "They're exposed to a lot of pathogens, and it's not clear what they're dying from."
