Lisa Jackson says Al Armendariz isn't going anywhere
EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson says she's spoken to Region 6 chief Al Armendariz about his "crucify" comments that have some GOP congressmen calling for his resignation. "I've spoken to Dr. Armendariz. I've made clear to him that I'm glad he apologized because his comments were disappointing; they're not representative of the agency; they don't reflect any policy that we have; and they don't reflect our actions over the past two years. And we'll continue to review and talk to Dr. Armendariz," Jackson said this morning when asked if he is facing any disciplinary action.
My comment on thehill article on the EPA crucifixions:
ReplyDeleteOn energy it's Orwellian double talk that Obama says he has an “all of the above” strategy, when it's “none of the above,” as across the board he has fought energy production: ending construction of new coal power plants, shutting down existing coal plants, no to the keystone pipeline, not permitting oil drilling wherever he can stop it, no to oil shale and a ‘crucifixion’ campaign against fracking. Not to mention his advocacy of the insane cap & trade scheme that would have decimated energy production. Incredible.
Obama said: “We’ve got to continue the hard, sustained work on [the energy] issue…” More accurately, he’s working hard to sharply cut energy production, as called for by climate change proponents.
