Gibraltar Chronicle - Cost of Gore visit ‘not yet finalised’

Gibraltar Government has said that the cost of bringing Al Gore to Gibraltar for the Think Green Forum in October “has not yet been finalized.” The spokesman said the cost will be funded by the Government and through sponsorship.

No debate on climate change is being organised and only Al Gore and close associate Juan Verde will be taking part.

In Atlantic Canada, the multi-million dollar lobster industry is trying to overcome low prices over the last four seasons, and now, an unusually large lobster haul in Maine. That state’s lobster catch has swamped the market and driven prices so low that Canadian fisherman are saying that it will not even be worth trapping lobster. Climate change might account for the warmer water temperatures and the large harvest in Maine.
