Breaking news about an old friend. | 350.org
[McKibben] One reason we’re fighting the pipeline is because Jim Hansen did the math to show that if we combusted the tar sands on top of all else we burn, it would be “game over for the climate.”

But it’s a crazy world, heating fast
Northerntruthseeker: The Humor Of The Global Warming Nutters Never Ceases To Amaze Me: Irish Newspaper Claims That Spring Snows Are A Sign Of Global Warming (!)
Right now, there is about 3 feet of snow still on the ground around here, and daytime temperatures in this part of Canada are hovering some 5-10 degrees Celcius below seasonal normals. We just completed what may be one of the coldest months of March on record, and there is little change now starting in April. It is again further proof that the nutjobs behind the Global Warming scam should be running to the hills for trying to continue to claim falsely that the world is heating up!
Why Are the Alarmists’ Computer Models Wrong? | Power Line
...If you can understand even a fraction of that, you can see that the famous IPCC models, which are the sole basis on which liberals are urging us to destroy our standard of living so that the earth’s always-changing temperature can (maybe) be reduced by a fraction of a degree, are utterly bogus as scientific predictors of the future.
RAHN: Global warming's 'fatal conceit' - Washington Times
Germany has spent more than 100 billion euros ($130 billion) on subsidizing the solar industry; yet, as Der Spiegel reported, “the 1.1 million solar systems have generated almost no power” this winter, and Germany is forced to import power from elsewhere. They are paying three or four times the U.S. rate for electricity, making many of their industries noncompetitive. The U.S. has been equally stupid. Even The New York Times has acknowledged that the U.S. ethanol experiment has been a disaster. It has actually increased carbon emissions and the price of fuel and world food, which really whacks the poor — all because of a “fatal conceit.”
