For Obama's cronies and wealthy consumers, there are definite electric car advantages - for the average taxpayer, the Volt's arithmetic is truly reeeevolting

He said, she said on global warming | smh.com.au

In particular, she says the claims of right-wing US blogger and anti- global warming campaigner Marc Morano (who denies any sea-level rise) were demolished by Rear Admiral David Titley, the chief oceanographer of the US Navy, but Admiral Titley's segment did not make it to air.

Sceptics must start warming to the reality of climate science | brisbanetimes.com.au

Another "expert" on Minchin's side is Marc Morano the former communications director for a US senator who received more money from fossil fuel interests than any other senator. He has no relevant scientific training or any peer-reviewed publications. The only bona fide climate scientist in Nick Minchin's corner has sought to overturn mainstream science for as long as he has railed against the notion that tobacco is unhealthy. To date, his efforts have failed to find support among his colleagues. This is not a picture of a scientific debate. This is a picture of the long-standing "manufacture of doubt" by vested interests and political operatives.

It is a tool to advertise one’s virtue and an excuse to complain about the evils of corporate greed and consumerism.

My Comment:   The high elevation data actually shows a cooling and the forest site is only warming in the spring. This should be a red flag that there is more going on than a western U.S. warming, or even if this warming is actually occurring at higher elevation sites. Indeed, even lower elevation sites are suspect
