Climate change denial should be a deal breaker

Here’s my variation on that theme: I believe that anyone aspiring to public office should be asked to acknowledge the overwhelming scientific data that climate change is real and man-made. If they don’t, then in my view they’re not intellectually fit to serve and should be disqualified from representing most Canadians who have the good sense to recognize this.

Before the often hysterical climate change skeptics start damning me as Joe McCarthy, my proposed test will certainly never be enacted. But it should be.

Global Warming Alarmist Steve Zwick's 'Science' Is More Troubling Than His Vitriol - Forbes

So here we have an all-too-clear glimpse into the alarmist playbook: Create climate models that predict catastrophes. Objective data show catastrophes are not materializing. Call an audible by asking people if they believe they have experienced a catastrophe. Take the patently ridiculous subjective survey results to claim the catastrophes actually did occur. Assert these reconstructed memories as proof that your models were correct after all. Repeat these steps as necessary.

There you have your global warming crisis.

Donald Trump warns Scotland against putting wind turbines near his golf resort - The Washington Post

“Scotland, if you pursue this policy of these monstrous turbines, Scotland will go broke,” he said. “They are ugly, they are noisy and they are dangerous. If Scotland does this, Scotland will be in serious trouble and will lose tourism to places like Ireland, and they are laughing at us.”
