Cabinet to lock in reworked climate [hoax] policy | The Australian
FEDERAL cabinet will clear the path to an election by deciding tomorrow on the government's new climate change policy.

However, ministers are likely to resist calls for an interim carbon tax, with some warning it would be politically risky and even "suicide" this close to a poll.

The Sacramento Bee has an interesting story about large trees found 80 to 120 feet below the surface in Fallen Leaf Lake, indicating the lake level was once much lower and for a long period of about 200 years. Full story here.

These trees grew during the Medieval Warm Period, which lasted from about AD 950–1250.
