Beating the IBWO pinata in hopes that Cornell might have missed a few of the coins

On their website these two searchers state:

"Diane and Greg ask that in honor of the search for the Ivory Billed Woodpecker, donations be made to Piedmont Wildlife Center."

And of course Diane is the president and a founder of that wildlife center - which in reality is a "rehabilitation" center. One might forgive leveraging the IBWO cachet for valid conservation concerns but not for "wildlife rehabilitation" - which has no relationship to wildlife conservation.

It's actually OK as long as they're rehabbing sick IBWOs... Or, perhaps they should start rehabbing IBWO researchers....

Rehabbing their reputations, maybe.
