Let's run more nearly-empty trains, trams, and buses through the system

Call for 10-minute wait limit | theage.com.au
"When the waiting time for your train, tram or bus exceeds the total time it would take you if you just drove, the car is always going to win," Mr Bowen said.

The PTUA said the State Government must:

Make a maximum waiting time of 10 minutes for all trains, trams and buses, seven days a week until midnight.

■ Staff all train stations from first to last service.

■ Run services every half hour on the main night bus routes seven days a week.

Mr Bowen said the group had not put a cost on such a massive increase in services, but he said the Government's system clearly was not working.
