The Chilling Effect: Give us the two-sentence description of your work at Climate Strategies Watch

Paul Chesser: Climate Strategies Watch is a free-market, limited-government project that assesses global warming commissions in the states. It was born out of an investigative effort begun last year into a group called the Center for Climate Strategies, which is an advocacy group for greenhouse gas limitation policies that passes themselves off as objective consultants who say they just want to help states develop their global warming policies.

TCE: When legislators do hear your message, what’s their response (or range of responses)?

PC: For the most part they are surprised. They are unaware that an explicit advocacy group has such complete control of what are supposed to be objective study commissions on climate change.
