Landscheidt Cycles Research » Does a Spin–Orbit Coupling Between the Sun and the Jovian Planets Govern the Solar Cycle?
Abstract:We present evidence to show that changes in the Sun’s equatorial rotation rate are synchronized with changes in its orbital motion about the barycentre of the Solar System. We propose that this synchronization is indicative of a spin–orbit coupling mechanism operating between the Jovian planets and the Sun.
Wind Watch: Wind farms just a con at our expense
How on earth can they talk about re-stocking parts of the UK with lynx, wolves, beaver, elk, bear etc and reducing the damage caused by humans, when acres upon acres of beautiful and irreplaceable countryside in the UK have been, and are to be given over to, industrialisation by monstrous and ineffective wind farms.

The farms are without doubt, a blot on the landscape and a confidence trick in the claimed saving of CO2 emissions at our, the consumer’s, expense.

August '07 - Explorers Sail, Bike, Ski and Walk from North to South Pole
By sled, ski and sail, two explorers are making a year-long trek between Earth's two poles to highlight the impact of climate change.

Rob Gauntlett and James Hooper, two 20-year-olds from England, have undertaken the more than 22,000-mile journey from one end of the Earth to the other using only methods of transportation that don't emit pollution.
...
Gauntlett and Hooper began cycling after arriving in New York City in July, where they made a stop at the Live Earth concert, a worldwide event promoted by former Vice President Al Gore to raise global warming awareness.

Oh dear, dear, he was "too young to die," poor Rob Gauntlett. Imagine that. Young guys die. Why is this privileged guy's death so special? Ask anyone whose 20-something son, brother, uncle, or husband died fighting a war into which he was drafted. Ask anyone who's lost a medically uninsured loved one to a treatable condition.

Come on, people. The obsession with youth is unhealthy. Grow up.
