Polls show the American public is continuing to apply critical thinking when it comes to the question of human-caused global warming. Too bad the same can't be said for much of the mainstream press.

Climate change is the ultimate global issue. It is also a forever issue. Approaching it reluctantly, lurching at it during international conferences, without real domestic political debate, doesn’t work. Forever issues require engagement, the relentlessness of structures and trust — our trust of others, and others of us.
