Congress will begin the cap and trade debate later this year. Opposition will be fierce from industries that want to continue dumping their crud for free. Members of Congress who worry about adverse effects to jobs and industries in the regions of the country they represent will be, at the best, skeptical.

It was really really cold last night in south Florida. Been this way for near three days, last night was the worse. I am sure it's due to global warming though.
Nobody is talking 'official' crop damage, just that it was bad. After the last freeze much of the Florida winter crop was damaged. This time they say it was worse. They said that the tropical fish farms were wiped out.
Nothing official yet, just the local TV doing the talking, and you know how reliable the news media is and how accurate their reports are.
