The final day of the 2008 International Conference on Climate Change, hosted by The Heartland Institute and more than 50 cosponsors, began with a keynote presentation by the Hon. Vaclav Klaus, president of the Czech Republic, who received a thunderous standing ovation from an international audience of some 500 scientists, economists, and other experts on global warming. It ended with withering criticism of the mainstream media's biased and alarmist coverage of the global warming issue by ABC News correspondent John Stossel. The Heartland Institute - Proceedings of the 2008 International Conference on Climate Change
