Australian Climate Madness: Coalition report on ETS: it's a crock
But we all knew that anyway. It will damage the economy and do nothing for the climate (even if CO2 drives climate, which it almost certainly doesn't). Maybe Krudd & Co should tax the sun instead to encourage it to reduce its output of harmful radiation (heat and light)!
French diplomats challenge Obama to do more on [climate scam]
At a briefing with journalists, Yvo de Boer, head of the United Nations Climate Change Secretariat, caused chortles when – in response to a question about what the diplomats had agreed to – he said “it’s undeniably correct that this was the first meeting.” After the laughter died down, Mr. de Boer said the main achievement had been “to allow people to get comfortable” with one another and set the agenda for more meetings later this year.
...
“The question was, ‘could you do better on the targets’?” Mr. Lalonde said, referring to the Obama administration’s call for returning U.S. emissions to 1990 levels by 2020. The Obama administration has said that cutting emissions by 25% below 1990 levels by 2020 – as some European nations want - isn’t politically doable or even necessary, because steeper reductions could make up for less steep cuts in the early years.
Man takes 14,000 mile fossil-fueled trip, then gets "frozen stiff" waiting for the man who would choke off our fossil fuel in an effort to make it colder outdoors
And there I was—frozen stiff—amid the huddled masses on the Washington Mall waiting for Barack Obama to walk onto the stage and place his hand on the Bible and declare that life for black folks and white folks would change forever in America. My hands were swollen and red; my feet had no feeling. It was 18 degrees in the sunshine, and I had to be the only person out there with no gloves, no long johns and no wool socks.

And yet I felt warmer than I ever had.
