a carbon tax doesn't change anything except it's then officially declared a "tax" while cap and trade pretended not to be one; I'd bet in private meetings, Al Gore, Obama and Pelosi knew all along it's going to be a carbon tax, "Two Steps Forward One Step Back" is the name of the game: They pretend to want 200% of what they actually want, then when their opponents negotiate it down to 100%, a compromise is agreed upon, and they've gotten what they wanted in the first place.

2 years ago the greens didn't even admit there were any plans for a carbon tax, in fact they denied it vehemently, and now we're supposed to accept it as a lesser evil to cap and trade? Never!!
