…an open letter to U.S. Chamber of Commerce president Tom Donohue about the recent defections of companies from the Chamber…

These are three companies out of the thousands that you represent. The Chamber has a long and proud history of being the nation’s strongest voice for American business. We are all depending on your leadership against “cap and tax,” which will do nothing but harm American businesses, families, workers, consumers and, ultimately, America itself.
Roger Pielke Jr.'s Blog: Are WRI and ExxonMobil in Agreement on a Carbon Price?
Why not simply pass a $10 per ton carbon tax, which now seems uncontroversial [?], and then argue about how fast to increase it and how to (re)distribute the revenue? If I weren't in such a charitable mood I'd probably suggest something cynical, like cap and trade not being about a carbon price after all.
Turnbull killed by what sickens Hockey, too | Herald Sun Andrew Bolt Blog
Here’s the Liberals’ diabolical problem: Malcolm Turnbull is finished largely because he agrees with Labor that we must slash emissions, and refuses instead to throw the works at Labor for planning something so useless, so shonky, so expensive and so sure to cost Australians their jobs.

Problem is: the only real alternative leader left standing, Joe Hockey, has until now shared exactly Turnbull’s dumb faith in man-made warming and the need to Do Something (useless) to “stop” it.
