Caught red-handed in a monumental fraud, disgraced Climategate scientists settle on a ludicrous defense

With the world in possession of an unprecedented, absolutely massive, easily searchable database of "context", they're going with this defense: we're being quoted out of context.

Hacked E-Mails Fuel Global Warming Debate | Privacy Digest
Another e-mail from Jones dated last year with the subject line “IPCC and FOI” is a request to Michael Mann, asking him to delete certain e-mails. Bloggers allege that Jones was trying to destroy data that had been requested under the Freedom of Information Act.

Jones wasn’t available for comment. Mann told Threat Level that he never deleted any e-mails and doesn’t know the context under which Jones made the request.
...
[Gavin Schmidt]: “It’s just scientists talking about science, and they’re talking relatively openly as people in private e-mails generally are freer with their thoughts than they would be in a public forum. The few quotes that are being pulled out [are out] of context. People are using language used in science and interpreting it in a completely different way.”

Trenberth agrees.

“If you read all of these e-mails, you will be surprised at the integrity of these scientists,” he says. “The unfortunate thing about this is that people can cherry pick and take things out of context.”

Michael E. Mann, who directs the Earth System Science Center at Pennsylvania State University, said in a telephone interview from Paris that skeptics “are taking these words totally out of context to make something trivial appear nefarious.”
The Associated Press: [Phil Jones now remembers what he meant?]
[Phil] Jones denied manipulating evidence and insisted his comment had been taken out of context.
...
"The selective publication of some stolen e-mails and other papers taken out of context is mischievous and cannot be considered a genuine attempt to engage with this issue in a responsible way," [the University of East Anglica] said in a statement.
[Phil Jones claims he can't remember what he meant]
[Phil Jones] told the magazine that there was no intention to mislead, but he had "no idea" what he meant by those words.

"That was an e-mail from ten years ago. Can you remember the exact context of what you wrote ten years ago?" he said.
Update from the comment section below:
funny how the hackers are taking things out of context, but when these "scientists" claim the earth's temperature has been rising without taking into account [the context of] solar activity, that is good accurate science.

What's really obvious here is that rising temperatures over the last century have been "taken out of context".

Interesting and revealing comment there by Phil Jones, " can you remember what you said 10 years ago?"

Well not right off hand no I can't. But if you tell me what the conversation was about, then I can probably reconstitute the exact same argument or conversation. You can do that sort of thing when you tell the truth because you don't have to remember a "story," you only have to remember the truth.

Ironically, these emails don’t need context, they ARE the context. They serve as context for us, the many thousands who have followed ClimateAudit.org. The years of condescending emails from Phil Jones, the FOIA refusals that seemed as arbitrary as they were delayed. Leading up to Phil Jones shockingly announce that data had been lost! The emails where Jones is telling his associates to delete emails give context to the public acts. I hope Profs. Mann and Jones have found some very expensive criminal attorneys. Can you imagine paying someone 200$ on hour and telling them “Here are the 61MB’s of files you will need to become experts in… um…could you lower your price a bit …maybe to $150/hr, please?

The next batch of released emails will be those between the scientists and the reporters.

You mean there may be more coming? What is that based on?

The only temperatures I see rising now are those of the individuals who have been exposed as frauds!

The data everywhere has not been destroyed.

This monumental fraud is big money: not only grants, it is grants to falsify data for the "carbon-credits" fraud scheme and an unelected global government of the attempted Copenhagen "treaty" to impose economy crushing taxes worldwide.

Did you get the Danish text leak?

This monumental scam has been/is using extortion of countries in debt to the IMF and The World Bank.

Huh? The USA has just exposed a huge financial scam from these same financiers. Coincidence?

Let's see, I think I still know how to think.

I hope the every one of the people involved are prosecuted to the fullest extent.

Hopefully, that will break the hold of these "banking gangsters" usury and fraud.

The Copenhagen "dog-and-pony-show" is a gigantic fraud. The earth "climate" has cycles including greater CO2 than modern history, ice ages and other events mankind does not control. The planets have also heated up. Mankind didn't do that.

Nice liberals are being duped by ruthless ill-intentioned "internationals" who have no loyalty to humankind and their paid hirelings' "junk science".

These are the same gang of "internationals" who finance genocide and wars.
