South Africa: Cyclist in race to speed up wheels of climate change
Zipplies wants municipalities and individuals to reduce greenhouse gases by 90% by 2030, all through lifestyle changes. At his presentation in George, Zipplies said there was a slack attitude towards climate change, which should be seen as an emergency. Zipplies said South Africa, and mostly developed nations, were the largest producers of greenhouse gases and needed to curb emissions immediately.

“We are already living 30% in excess of what nature can supply,” Zipplies said, adding his deep concern over the effects of climate change was “like a spear thrust in my chest”.

A sharp drop in solar activity could soon tell us how much mankind and the Sun are responsible for warming the planet
The American Spectator : AmSpecBlog : Come to Your Consensus
Willie Soon and David Legates, both respected members of the American Geophysical Union, tell the story of how their planned session to discuss scientific papers that consider the many contributing factors to climate variability was a "go," until suddenly it wasn't:
The Reference Frame: Al Gore: the interior of the Earth is extremely hot, several million degrees
What a breathtaking imbecile. It's very clear that he can't possibly have the slightest clue about physics, geology, and energy flows on the Earth. It's sad that many politicians lack the basic science education.
American Thinker: Obama's Copenhagen suicide pact
President Obama and Democratic Congressional leaders, perhaps with a handful of Republican moderates, seemed poised to make the Copenhagen negotiations a suicide pact for the Western industrialized nations. In a complete reversal of the bipartisan policy of twelve years ago, they would lock America into impossibly severe restrictions on economic activity while the non-Western nations, who reject the climate paranoia that gripes Western liberalism, move ahead in their own interests. The result will be a change in the balance of wealth and power in the world that will dwarf any change in the climate.
