Climate skeptics are denying facts, not 'theories' - baltimoresun.com
There are tricks to the global warming trade all right, but they are being played by deniers, not on them.

Thomas F. Schaller teaches political science at UMBC. His column appears regularly in The Baltimore Sun. His e-mail is schaller67@gmail.com.

[comment] Schaller's analogies are stupid. The "trick" to "hide the decline" hid the fact that the tree ring data was unreliable. The CRU "scientists want you to believe they are.

Nobody's denying that CO2 is a green house gas or that there has been warming. The issue is how much and what are ALL the causes?

From another comment to the same entry, this is one of the most savage takedowns I have ever seen:

Your entire article is non sequitur. I have never seen so many fallacies of logic displayed with such brevity. You cite two simple examples of how to reason fallaciously. Then, you employ a straw man followed by circular reasoning. Next is an appeal to pity followed by more circular reasoning. After that, you make a statement that begs the question followed by an ad hominem attack. Citing a reporters opinion as fact was most clever. I am sure Mann would be proud of you. You then make two statements as "fact" about CO2 but fail to cite empirical evidence to support your claim. Next up is a paragraph of circular reasoning. You then commit another ad hominem attack. The next paragraph begins with a non sequitur statement followed by questions without question marks to give the false impression that they are facts. You talk about theories being unprovable and then you beg the question again. You finish with a non sequitur statement ending in a straw man. You talk about facts yet you din't cite one empirical piece of evidence. Since the proponents of global warming claim that CO2 is causing the climate to change the burden of proof is on you and you have failed miserably. This article should be used to teach fallacies in a class on rhetoric. Although their never has been a debate on national TV every debate I am aware of was lost by the Proponents of AGW.
