Global warming: Selling doubt, selling certainty
Climate science is new, even if the physics and calculations behind it are not. Satellite coverage of this planet is 30 years old. When we see Arctic ice melt, we don't know if it did the same thing 31 years ago--because we weren't measuring it. I'm concerned about Arctic ice--but we just don't know.

Ap Index at 1, Sun Sleeping

OK, as I understood it, the AP Index was supposed to be about as low as it could go at the 2 to 3 range. Now we hit ONE?

Perhaps this has something to do with all the cold and frozen in the world right now…

With a sun activity index like this as close to zero as that I have to wonder: Is it time to worry about a little ice age yet?
Climate Feedback: Would a carbon tariff even work?
To tax all of the emissions associated with goods (thus reflecting their true carbon cost), customs officials would have to know exactly how much steel was in each car or dishwasher, for example, and where and how every bit of that steel was made…a tall order, given that materials can be transformed many times before they end up in a product. For example, the authors cite data showing that about 30 per cent of the steel that comes into the US in the form of finished products was produced in countries other than the country of final export.
FT.com | Westminster Blog | Ann Winter-ton: snow means no climate change [what was her actual quote?]
Today’s diversions meant I forgot to bring you one of PMQ’s highlights when Ann Winterton, the Tory backbencher, declared that this week’s cold weather was proof that climate change is a myth (I’m not sure it’s that straightforward Ann).

“Will the prime minister reconsider the proposed wasteful expenditure of £100bn on offshore wind farms which will incapable of delivering sufficient energy but will result in excessive charges,” she asked to laughs of derision from the Labour benches.
