C3: Why Are Temperature "Hockey Sticks" From Tree-Ring Data So Bogus?
...In their concerted effort to prove current temperatures are warmer than Medieval temperatures, IPCC paleo-climate scientists scoured tree-ring research to identify tree populations (even single trees) that exhibited a sharp uptick in growth during the 2nd half of the 20th century. If they found a tree-ring study that exhibited a hockey-stick blade, they would include it in their published research as an indication that the trees were responding to unprecedented warming.Number of Below Freezing nights continues to mount here and across UK as we approach coldest Feb in 24 years
Interestingly, I read today in an article issued yesterday in the Dail Mail that Britain was in store to see it's coldest February in 24 years, ironically, January marked the coldest in Britain in 23 years. Does this mean that for Scotland, this will end the coldest meteorlogical winter on record for the Dec through Feb period? Afterall the Dec-Jan period was considered the coldest on record or since at least 1914...Water Vapor The Next Demon Gas | The Resilient Earth
...In a similar vein, Dr Vicky Pope, head of climate science at the Met Office, said: “Whatever's causing this change from decade to decade is having an influence at the surface. But it is a small variation on top of the long term increase in man-made greenhouse gases.” While +30 to -25% doesn't sound like a small variation to this observer, it's good to know that many of the climate change faithful are sticking with CO2—perhaps they will all go down with that rapidly sinking ship.Random Musings of a Tormented Mind: Global Warming: Meltdown by John Coleman @ KUSI
Recently I had a couple of friends tell me that the crazy snow storms going on around the world do not put into question the 'global warming' theory, but in fact prove that global warming IS occurring. One said that she heard 'there is always a cooling period before the great warming begins' and another said it's because the glaciers are melting, putting more moisture into the air, and then it's coming down as excess rain and snow
