True climate sceptics must stop the war on [junk] science | Mark Lynas | Environment | guardian.co.uk
Here's my suggestion: true sceptics on the right should convene a process, perhaps in collaboration with free-market thinktanks such as the Adam Smith Institute, to formulate carbon mitigation proposals of their own. A war against science can never succeed. Shooting the messenger is just dumb. If you don't like the solutions the greens have come up with, try proposing some of your own.
YouTube - Bill O'Reilly - Global Warming Shoot Out - 2010-02-22
This is an excellent segment for either those who are in favor or against the theory of global warming. It's an excellent opportunity to see two knowledgeable people disagreeing on the subject and backing up their assertions with "perceived" evidence.
'Mr. Governor: Tear down this warming-alarmist operation' (Posted Feb. 22, 2010) :: Bluegrass Institute for Public Policy Solutions
Still, Gov. Steve Beshear has followed the lead of governors in several other states – even some conservative ones – and allowed the Kentucky Climate Action Plan Council, a front group for the Center for Climate Strategies, a Washington-based warming-alarmist group, to set up shop in Frankfort.
Here’s how this scam works: The cabal presents itself as dispassionate technical experts who will offer “prefab anti-global-warming advice” in the form of recommendations on how, among other moves, the governor could issue executive orders that “raise energy prices and diminish consumer freedom,” wrote Paul Chesser, a special correspondent for The Heartland Institute, a Chicago-based free market think tank, in a recent New York Post op-ed.
In an e-mail to the Bluegrass Institute, Chesser warned that the only “plan” this council has is in figuring out “how to raise the costs of electricity and gasoline so people won’t burn fossil fuels anymore.”
Uh-oh.

It is definitely time for Graham to retire. Apparently, he is unable, or unwilling, to read about all the false, spun, made up, and/or downright disingenuous “science” performed by the UN IPCC and other leading climate alarmists. He hasn’t bothered to pay attention to all the issues that have come out, especially since the start of Climategate. The science is anything but settled, especially with leading climate alarmist Phil Jones stating that there has been no statistical warming in the past 15 years, and that the Medieval Warm Period was warmer than the current warming period.
[Ontario faces the "grim" prospect of someday being less miserably cold]: Adapt now to climate change, panel warns - thestar.com
Ontario needs to construct flood-proof roads, improve building guidelines and enact local emergency response plans to cope with extreme weather threats, warns a blue-ribbon report on combatting climate change.

That grim news comes from Ontario's 11-person expert panel on climate-change adaptation, which includes Dr. Ian Burton and Dr. Barry Smit, who shared the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize with former U.S. vice-president Al Gore.

The Far North will be hit the hardest by climate change, experiencing more snow and greater flooding, affecting roads, bridges and First Nations communities.
