[Will this prevent bad weather?]: Hydrogen-powered taxis gear up for London Olympics - Green Tech
Alongside these new cabs, London's Deputy Mayor Kit Malthouse said the aim was to have in place six hydrogen filling stations while getting the number of hydrogen-fuelled cabs up to between 20 and 50 by the 2012 Olympics.

At the time the venture with Lotus and Intelligent Energy was announced, the UK energy minister said: "It's essential that we bring forward these innovative low-carbon technologies to tackle the challenge of climate change.

"DECC's (Department of Energy and Climate Change) new competition launched in September for up to £7.2 million of funding for hydrogen and fuel-cell technology demonstration will fill a current gap in the innovation chain relating to scale-up and deployment of this low-carbon technology. The competition is a clear measure of Government support for this innovation."

Burning issue of climate change - And another thing - Blogs - getreading - Reading Post
Yes – mistakes have been made and they need to be explained, but global concerns about climate change aren’t just based on a couple of studies by one or two scientists, they are based on a huge body of evidence.

I don’t see a similar huge body of research showing that we have no reason to be concerned about climate change.  [If these 500 papers aren't enough, how about giving climate realists $50 billion and 20 years to produce more?]

Climate scientists are certain the world has got warmer during the 20th Century – the evidence is everywhere – over land and oceans, in rising sea levels and melting ice.

There’s also strong evidence [like what, specifically?] the warming is caused largely by people; that the warming is likely to get worse and that the impacts, on food and water for example, could be very serious.
[I guess delay IS an option]: Australia: Vote on ETS to be delayed until May
A VOTE on the government's emissions trading scheme is expected to be pushed back until May - with the government and opposition blaming each other for the delay.

The May vote has arisen because of technical Senate procedures, meaning it is unlikely the government can obtain a double-dissolution election trigger on the bill by a mid-August deadline.

In an address to the nation's top CEOs at a Business Roundtable meeting scheduled for Wednesday, Obama is expected to discuss his energy plans and, according to sources, roll out a proposal meant to incentivize coal-burning power plants to switch to cleaner-burning natural gas.
