A Climate Bill Surge? | Mother Jones
The E&E story posits that the Summers speech is a prelude to a "climate-bill surge" in the coming weeks. The three senators working on climate legislation—John Kerry (D-Mass.), Lindsey Graham (R-SC), and Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.)—have said they will have a bill ready for release next week, in anticipation of Earth Day on April 22. But the opening for passing a major law this year is quickly narrowing. If the Obama administration is serious about getting legislation in place, go time is now.
World-Famous Places Endangered by Global Warming
If climatologists' predictions of global warming are right, some of the world's most treasured places could disappear or be radically changed. Newsweek magazine on Sunday released a list of 100 of the world's most beautiful places that are threatened by climate change, including the Hawaiian island of Kauai, the Mississippi River Delta, the Caribbean Sea, New York's Manhattan, Western Hudson Bay in Canada, the Panama Canal and the Amazon rainforest of Brazil.

When will the U.S. economy regain its competitive edge instead of letting other countries corner the emerging global clean energy market?

How can we get the U.S. back on track by creating American jobs in the new low-carbon economy?

How can we protect our natural resources and future generations from climate change?
American Thinker: Death by CAFE Standards
How many deaths have resulted? Depending on which study you choose, the total ranges from 41,600 to 124,800. To that figure we can add between 352,000 and 624,000 people suffering serious injuries, including being crippled for life. In the past thirty years, fuel standards have become one of the major causes of death and misery in the United States -- and one almost completely attributable to human stupidity and shortsightedness.
