Local News | Significant snow forecast for Washington mountains | Seattle Times Newspaper
SEATTLE -- The National Weather Service has a winter weather advisory in effect until 6 a.m. Thursday for the Washington Olympics and Cascades.

Forecasters expect 8-to-16 inches of new snow with lesser amounts in the passes. And, with the snow level dropping to 1,000 feet early Thursday, a dusting of snow is possible in some Western Washington lowlands.
