Which means they are the Final Arbiter of everything we do, because everything we do creates CO2.

New Sea-Level Study Divides Climate Researchers
other experts doubt exactly this claim. They see a major problem of the new study in the fact that it is ultimately based only on the finding from the coast of North Carolina. That could be too limited for a statement regarding global developments. "This study is therefore not suitable at all to make predictions," says Jens Schröter from the Alfred Wegener Institute for Polar and Marine Research.
Solar Science, Little Ice Ages and Journalism
One thing that struck me was the obvious differences in what the “experts” were saying.

Msnbc.com said: Gavin Schmidt, a climatologist at NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies and one of the founders of the RealClimate blog, said the effects of solar activity on climate over the past 30 years have been "at the margin of what we can detect."

I’ve written about this before: Such comments surprise me. The IPCC maintains that before AGW took hold, about 1960, the main climatic drivers were the sun mediated by volcanoes. There is more variation seen in the global annual average temperature prior to 1960 than after it. So is it not peculiar that the sun was an active participant in climate change back then, but now only plays a marginally detectable role in climate change when variations of a similar magnitude are happening. When did the sun switch off?
