2010: Thomas Friedman Is Wrong -- Chinese Professor Slams Beijing's High-Speed Rail Boondoggle
As he reiterated this weekend, NYT Columnist Thomas Friedman just loooooves what Beijing is doing to stimulate the Chinese economy, especially the billions its spending on high-speed rail.

But just because those trains are nice and fancy and zippy, doesn't mean they're actually a great investment, right?
