Panama to host 5000 delegates to UN climate change meetings
Panama’s tourism figures will get a huge boost in October when it hosts two UN meetings to lay the groundwork for a world conference on climate change and bring in more than 5000 delegates.
The recent boost in available hotel rooms has played a significant role in attracting the prestigious meetings.
The UN agency UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) will be holding preparatory meetings for the seventeenth session of the UNFCCC scheduled for Durban, South Africa, between November and December 2011, with the acronym COP-17.
