SA to host adequate COP 17, despite possible funding shortfall – Minister
In 2010, the Department of Environmental Affairs officials estimated that South Africa would require at least R320-million [44 million US dollars?] to host a ‘lean and mean’ COP. The National Treasury has allocated R200-million towards the cost of hosting the conference. The balance would likely be made up through donor funding. Why not hold this entire climate hoax event on the Internet, without any closed-door meetings, saving most of the money and all of the flying?
