Time for world leaders to get serious about climate change - Telegraph

[latest three comments at the moment] Having just returned from South Africa, the major comment in the local papers was how much Durban would make out of this junket. Most comments from SA Government officials is about reducing consumption and greater efficiency in energy use; realistic, but then for a country that derives most electrical power from coal-fired power stations and are going to have to build more or suffer more power shortages they can't exactly shut them down at the behest of wild-eyed activists like the WWF without exacerbating their economic problems.
Just shows that these issues are driven by fanatical one-issue agit-prop groups such as WWF and Greenpeace who will mandate our economic destruction for their political ends.

Honestly, the sub-editing is getting worse on here; let me fix that for you:

Climate change is truly a global hoax

Articles: Durban Climate Conference: The Dream Fades

[Fred Singer] So we are left with a puzzle: why do land-surface data differ from all other independent climate results?  Is there really substantial global warming to support the IPCC's conclusion of AGW?  These are the fundamental questions to focus on in Durban -- not extension of the moribund Kyoto Protocol.

EXAGGERATE-GATE | Daily Telegraph Tim Blair Blog

Lewandowsky appears to suggest that Australian coverage of scientists is comparable to the frenzied hunting of celebrities by British tabloids. In Lewandowsky’s world, climatologists are being chased down the street by paparazzi. The sexual adventures of climate scientists are of intense interest to the nation’s tabloids. Laboratories can barely function for the constant intrusion by sleazy reporters, desperate for the latest hot science gossip.

Here’s an invitation to Professor Lewandowsky. The next time he’s in Sydney, I’ll walk him through the Daily Telegraph‘s offices. If any reporter or photographer even recognises him, much less subjects him to bullying or thuggery, I’ll donate $500 to the Society for the Protection of Intimidated Scientists, or any other charity Lewandowsky cares to name.

No exaggeration.

Germany once again has global ambitions

German Environment Minister Röttgen asks for CO2 limit for every individual on earth according to an article in the online version of the German magazine "Der Spiegel". It quotes Röttgen's remarks he made in an interview with it.
