Tim Worstall is definitely in something of a climate change groove at the moment. In his Forbes blog, he's writing about a new paper in Nature that suggests that climate change deserves less of our attention than previously thought (or at least that's Tim's interpretation)...Feels like a Eureka moment to me. Students to get carbon [dioxide hoax swindle cash] - The West Australian

More than 22,000 students in WA will get their carbon tax compensation payments from today, as the Federal Government confirmed the amount of money that had already gone into the pockets of battlers had exceeded $1 billion.

Youth Allowance, Austudy and ABSTUDY recipients will get a lump sum of up to $190 to help with higher grocery and electricity bills caused by the introduction of the carbon tax from July 1.

About 315,000 students will get payments nationwide, costing $52 million. In WA, 22,600 students will receive some form of payment, with $3.7 million budgeted. More than 200,000 veterans and war widows will this week receive up to $250 for singles or $380 for couples.
