‘Colbert Report’: North Carolina’s Scientific Revisionism - Truthdig

Stephen Colbert’s “The Word” segment Monday “praised” North Carolina’s GOP lawmakers for a bill that would change scientific predictions of sea level increases from a disastrous 39 inches to just 8 inches. He lauded the legislators for their ingenious solution to climate change, which would ban climate models that forecast an accelerating rise in sea levels.

Satire aside, it’s good to see Colbert turning his potent criticism to climate change once again. His unique brand of punditry cuts to the heart of the dangerous scientific revisionism and willful ignorance that characterizes the anti-environment movement.
