In 1871, the Peshtigo fire burned 1,200,000 million acres and killed 2,000 people. The 1871 fire burned seventy times as much forest and killed one thousand times as many people.
As far as Colorado fires goes, the 1898 Colorado fire was 100 times larger than the fires this year. They didn't have cable TV in 1898, and people were smart enough not to build hundreds of homes right next to each other in the middle of pine forest – which naturally burns every 20 years.
Stroming confuses his own ignorance and stupidity with climate change.
