Beijing sees temperature of 3 degrees C. 3.5 weeks before the public heating is usually switched on

The cold front has also extended to Beijing, with the city seeing lows of 3 degrees Celsius on Monday, the National Meteorological Center said.

Beijing's municipal commission for city administration and environment said that it will switch on the city's public heating if the cold temperatures persist.

Beijing's public heating is usually activated on Nov. 15 every year.
