DURHAM, N.H. — A $750,000 National Science Foundation grant will help University of New Hampshire researchers examine how climate affects road and bridge construction.

Jo Daniel, a researcher and associate professor of civil engineering at UNH, said if climate is changing, using weather data from 20 years ago is not going to represent what the road will experience in the next 20 years.

Antarctic Sea Ice Extent Day 275 – Another Day Another Record | sunshine hours
Day 275 brought another daily record in Antarctic Sea Ice Extent at 19,200,810 sq km. The previous record was 19,134,590 sq km in 2005. This is the 23rd daily record for the year.

The new record is 66,220 sq km more than the old record, which is about the size of Tasmania.
