World Bank’s Kim Raises Sandy as G-20 Ignores Climate - Businessweek
Superstorm Sandy and the risk of more disasters sparked by climate change barely featured at a Group of 20 summit. Then World Bank chief Jim Yong Kim brought it up.
“The World Bank has gone back to being in charge of climate change,” Bank of Italy Governor Ignazio Visco told reporters in Mexico City. “For a certain period from 2001, it had stopped.”
Whatever truth there may be to this, it sounds consistent with what we know about AGW. AGW has resulted in various regulations and laws requiring green energy. Because nuclear energy is the only economical green energy, AGW legislates nuclear energy. In this way, environmental opposition to nuclear energy is overcome by AGW advocacy for green energy. It would be understandable if the World Bank was involved in bringing about a "nuclear renaissance."
