Critics of “An Inconvenient Truth” include Al Gore’s political opponents, global warming skeptics and even rank-and-file scientists. But the former vice president waited until today for a detailed review from a high court in Britain. It'll be an interesting juxtaposition if Gore suffers this serious setback, then wins the Nobel Peace Prize, all in the same week.
Asked to ban the film from secondary schools, Judge Michael Burton refused, as long as “serious scientific inaccuracies, political propaganda and sentimental mush” were explained at screenings, Agence France-Presse reported.

For those in any doubt about the "potentially dire sea level implications during the next several centuries", would do well to have a look at the special online collection of papers in Science, published in 2006, .
Note that IPCC report, which predicts sea-level rises of only 12-17 inches over the next century has a major caveat: “Models used to date do not include…the full effects of changes in ice sheet flow” (p14 of the summary for policy makers).
Some of the above papers suggest that sea-level rise could match that suggested by Al Gore as does the IPCC report itself in later paragraphs.
