Wind Watch: There is no way to ignore these head turning, giant industrial beasts
The Delabole turbine array was opened by James Lovelock, scientist, environmentalist and originator of the Gaia theory. He is one of many scientists who now question the usefulness of large scale wind power generation.

“I was asked to open the wind farm at Delabole,” he said. “At that time nobody was talking about a gigantic programme, getting 15 or 20% of the country’s energy from wind turbines. It was a kind of nice green gesture. I think, now that I know as much as I do, I wouldn’t have touched it with a bargepole.
Wind Watch: Wind turbines are an expensive rip-off
Most of our politicians are arts graduates. Many of them find numbers difficult, but they like spending our hard-earned cash.

They like giving our cash by the millions of pounds to wind turbine developers.
...
Why do you let our politicians locally and nationally rip you off and take your money to hand it over to wind turbine developers? Even your local councillors can stop this pillage and plunder at the planning committee stage.
