Tonight - M-Net marks Earth Day with [climate scam propaganda]
...I watched another recording - Arctic Circle, a National Geographic film narrated by Queen Latifah.

It told the dual stories of two creatures, a walrus pup and a polar bear cub. Actually, it started with twin cubs, but that global warming that is melting the ice saw the baby bear stumble and fall from starvation and die in the snow. I'm not ashamed to say I wept over this one little bear, so long ago and so far away.

The film spanned several years and followed the young animals as they grew up and learnt life skills from their respective mothers. The polar ice caps have already shrunk by around 20 percent over recent decades and at the current rate of warming will be gone by 2040. The late winters and early springs result in softer ice, which affects the polar bears' ability to hunt - the seals who lurk in underground caves are their favoured snack. Less ice also means less place for them, and the walruses, to sit on and while they are swimming desperately from one dwindling ice floe to another, they die of hunger and exhaustion.

The red line indicates that we have the highest observed Arctic ice levels in years.

AEA's ads warn of "higher energy bills, new taxes, and increased job losses" if the bill passes. Most studies have concluded electricity prices would rise if Congress puts a price on carbon, but lawmakers are discussing ways to offset the price hikes for consumers and businesses.
