climate science: REPORT SHOWS DECLINE IN SEA LEVELS
Here's an interesting report which refers to a study carried out this year into sea levels all over the world. What's interesting is that thi study shows that sea levels have actually declined over the least three years, in marked contrast to the ever more doom-laden predictions from the 'alarmist' camp. These figures at least cast doubt on the situation, if they are not enought to completely refute the alarmists.

Echoing that theme, CBS’s Mark Phillips stood in water up to his neck and then became completely submerged to illustrate the feared impact of rising sea levels: “The Maldives have become the canary in the global warming coal mine.”

Anyway, cold meant dry, and these early people clustered around the few pockets of water in the African high-lands, cut off from the rest of the world by vast tracts of desert.
...
Guess what saved them. Global warming! Oh, the irony, though back then the temperature rise had nothing to do with China or America or Jeremy Clarkson, but was all about volcanic activity, movement of tectonic plates,
variations in the earth's orbit, that kind of thing. Warmer meant wetter [why is warmer supposed to mean both too wet AND too dry now?], Africa turned into the Garden of Eden, our ancestors started to wander, procreating and populating – first throughout Africa, then Arabia, Asia and eventually Europe.

Many other CRU scientists and their colleagues have received torrents of abusive and threatening e-mails since the leaks first began in mid-November 2009. Tom Wigley, previous Director of CRU and now at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR), Boulder, US, has been horrified by the e-mails he and other colleagues have received. "They are truly stomach-turning and show what sort of venomous monsters we are up against," he told environmentalresearchweb.
... "None of it affects the science one iota," said Wigley. "Accusations of data distortion or faking are baseless. I can rebut and explain all of the apparently incriminating e-mails that I have looked at, but it is going to be very time consuming to do so."

A further example of the perverse consequences of the EU's method of "stopping climate change" was provided in this weekend's Sunday Times, which revealed that Britain's richest resident, the Indian steel tycoon Lakshmi Mittal, is to benefit from a £1bn windfall in so-called "carbon credits".
