That comment doesn't compare CO2 to Hitler, it compares the environmental "global warming" war (AGW) with Hitler. And closing the NY Times environmental desk is not like "pulling your German and Japan correspondents in 1930", because that environmental desk is not on the side of the anti-AGW "allies", it is on the side of the AGW "Germany and Japan axis".
